Both of these highly anticipated albums are to be released on August 19, 2014.  The celebration will take place on Sunday, August 17, 2014; from 2PM to 4:00 PM at Quarters, located at 4530 S. Sherwood Forest Blvd. Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Free Admission.

This will be a great opportunity to get exclusive insight and intimate details behind each track on their albums. The 11th Annual McDonald’s 365Black Awards!

Community leaders, entertainers, celebrities, and spectators poured into the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center Theater during Essence Fest weekend, to celebrate outstanding African American achievements. This year’s recipients included film producer Will Packer; civil rights activist Rev. Al Sharpton; entertainment icon Kevin Liles; inspirational leader Iyanla Vanzant; former NFL athlete Dhani Jones; and New Orleans McDonald’s owner/operator Henry Coaxum. For the first time ever there was the McDonald’s 365Black Community Choice Youth Award added to the line up! This award honors exceptional youths making a positive impact in the community. The two recipients for this year's award were teen entrepreneur/ author Gabrielle Jordan Williams and teen artist Skyler Grey.

The pre-awards golden carpet was definitely star studded as expected. Many celebrities graced the golden carpet with their appearances such as this year’s fabulous award show hosts actress Tika Sumpter, actor/television personality Terrence J. along with a slew of others. The very funny comedian Jonathan Slocumb kept the audience filled with laughter. The audience was also treated with amazing live performances from recording artists such as Ledisi; Tank; KEM; Kim Burrell; Leela James; Jazmine Sullivan; and Mali Music. Some of this year's stellar presenters were veteran radio personality Tom Joyner, news anchor/producer Soledad, O’Brien, and singer/actress Michelle Williams.

 The 11th Annual McDonald's 365Black Awards was definitely an amazing celebration. For those who were unable to witness the greatness live and in person; be sure to tune for the broadcast on BET Networks August 10 at 10pm EDT/9pm CDT. The awards will also air on Centric August 17 at 11pm EDT /10pm CDT. We at GI Empire Media had a blast and look forward to attending again

The 1st Annual Unrivaled Hair and Beauty Industry Awards Was a Success!

On Saturday June 21^st 2014, The 1^st Annual Unrivaled Hair and Beauty Industry Awards took place in Lafayette, LA. The location for the event was the Burke Theatre on the campus of UL. This was an exciting premier event to take place in the city; it brought lots of curiosity and excitement! This award show was presented by Unrivaled Hair Creations Magazine and Global Industry Empire; in Partnership with KRRQ 95.5. This was a night of giving recognition to those who work hard in the hair and beauty industry. It was not about competition or who’s better than the other. The purpose of this event was to celebrate all hair and beauty professionals by recognizing their achievements.

The host for the evening was the very funny comedian James Walker, known as “The Reverend”.  The night was filled with laughter and heart-warming acceptance speeches.  Honorees for the evening were LegendaryRussell Chew and Rising Star Mandy Williams( The Queen of Kash), along with many other hair and beauty professionals. There were also live performances by the sultry songstress Neyah Sohle and Zydeco artist Mike Dopsie. In addition; there was a fashion segment by Renee Couture and “Hair From Another Planet” by Illustrious Hands Beauty Salon. Throughout the show there were also amazing door prizes given out. Everyone had a blast and cannot wait to do it again next year!
