BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA- A double
album release/listening party was held on Sunday August 17, 2014 for Neyah
Sohle and Andrew Jackson! This
spectacular event took place at Quarters BR hosted by Quinton “QP” Paul. The
stage was definitely set for the highly anticipated release of Neyah Sohle’s debut
album The ReInvention and Andrew
Jackson’s debut album Elements of A Love
Letter, both albums are now available for purchase online as of Tuesday August 19, 2014!
This was no ordinary album release/
listening party. Prior to the start of the main event, guests mingled and
danced to the sounds of DJ Rah B all while enjoying great cocktails. The party
turned up another notch once Neyah Sohle and Andrew Jackson hit the stage!
Everyone in the building were bobbing their heads and clapping their hands as
they listened to the brand new tracks for the very first time! Both artists
performed a few tracks live and provided intimate details on the inspiration
behind each selection. The guests, which included members of the press and
media were very receptive and provided excellent feedback.
The evening wrapped up with special
acknowledgements and announcements from the two artists. They informed
everyone that it is not only imperative to support by buying the new albums due
to the content, but also because a portion of album sales are going to be
donated to charity! Neyah Sohle has chosen
to donate to IRIS Domestic Violence Center and Andrew Jackson will be donating
to 100 Black men foundation! School supplies were also collected that evening
to be donated to kids in need!
